The British American Foundation of Texas (BAFTX) offers a range of scholarships and programs, from middle school to graduate school.

Eligibility Criteria

Scholarships from the British American Foundation of Texas have the following eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants must be a resident of Texas or the United Kingdom;

  • Applicants must be enrolled in full time education within the Texas or UK education system;

  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need;

  • Applicants must have a good GPA;

  • Applicants from Texas must be able to attend an Awards Dinner in Houston on April 30 2019.

The "Early Starters" Award

It is never too early to be thinking about your education.  This academic tuition award for Middle School students in Texas is intended to set students on the right track and kick off their college savings.

The "Junior Achiever" Award 

The purpose of the BAFTX Junior Achievers award is to provide a summer study program in the UK for academically adept High School Juniors from low income families in Texas.

The "Undergraduate" Award

The undergraduate award is aimed toward low income families in Texas (or the UK intending to study in Texas) and is intended to alleviate the financial burden of funding those college fees.

The Graduate Award is aimed toward aspiring individuals from the United Kingdom or Texas with opportunities to study abroad at Graduate level.

The "Wood Mackenzie - BAFTX Energy" Award

The Wood Mackenzie - BAFTX Energy award is aimed toward low income, high achieving students intent on furthering their education in the fields of Technology, Energy, Finance, Mining and Metals and Research Analysis (other sciences will be considered).
