THE WOOD MACKENZIE - BAFTX ENERGY AWARD


The Wood Mackenzie - BAFTX Energy Award is designed for high-achieving academic students with financial hardship studying within the Texas education system who are intent on furthering their education in the fields of Technology, Energy, Finance, Mining and Metals and Research Analysis (other sciences will be considered). It is hoped that we can align education with some practical experience by offering students the opportunity to meet their financial strain.

Purpose Of The Award


General Description Of The Award

Scholarships will be applied toward tuition costs only and paid directly to the chosen education establishment.


Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a resident of Texas;

  • Be enrolled in full time education within the Texas education system;

  • Be aged 18 or above;

  • Major in Technology, Energy, Finance, Mining and Metals and Research Analysis (other sciences will be considered)

  • Hold an undergraduate degree with a GPA of 3.5 or above;

  • Be able to attend a 15 minute meeting/interview with a BAFTX panel, either in person, telephone or skype;

  • Be able to attend an Awards Dinner to receive your scholarship on April 30, 2019 in Houston;

  • Provide a completed Application Form along with the requested attachments.


Applicants need to provide:

  • Application form;

  • Letter of recommendation;

  • School transcript;

  • Budget summary form (download template here);

  • FAFSA report;

  • Essay;

  • Photograph of applicant;

  • Resume.
